The surface of the beads are nice and smooth. The top of the bead where the hole was made was smooth but the bottom was very rough - I had to work to smooth out that end so it wouldn't catch in my macrame cord.Wanted to make diy fairy doll as seen on YouTube videos- these beads were perfect for the doll's head.We're using these beads for a Christmas ornament project for our church. These beads are perfect- the quality is great & so is the price. I would order from this company again!I purchased a pack of these beads just under two weeks ago, and I ended up getting a second pack three days ago. The beads are true to size and the hole is large enough to accommodate a double leather string. The holes are also clearly drilled so they can be strung up with relative ease. They have a smooth finish and the color is along the lines of natural/ birch and there are no color variations within the pack. I am more than satisfied with the purchase and I consider this an excellent, sturdy product.Nice natural colored wood beads. I plan to use mainly for fairy doll head.
