In Bulgaria, it is tradition to give martenitsa (red and white dolls, tassels or friendship bracelets) to all friends and loved ones in early March to celebrate Baba Marta (Grandma March). The martenitsa should be worn until the wearer sees the first sign of spring and then hang it on a tree that begins to bloom for good health, luck and prosperity. In Bulgarian folklore, Baba Marta is an elderly woman who changes mood very quickly, like the weather in March. When she is happy, the weather is sunny and warm, but if she gets angry, the cold will drag on and, perhaps, even snow. Due to the hand crafting of these bracelets, designs may vary and are randomly picked from our selection. WARNING: Small parts. Choking hazard. Not suitable for children under 3 years.
Package includes 6 pieces: 4 handmade wrist bracelets and 2 pieces that can be clipped to clothes.
